Status of Nitrogen in Different Parts of Cupuassu Tree in Oriental Amazon

Despite the socio-economic importance of cupuassu tree for Amazon region, a few studies have aimed to evaluate nutritional status nitrogen in plantations, especially different vegetative parts. Thus, this research quantify content and accumulation parts two progenies trees region. The experiment was carried out an area intercropping x açai palm banana, at Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, located Belém, state Pará from 2003 2007. experimental design adopted completely randomized 2 4 factorial scheme with (PMI 186 (Codajás) PMI 215 (Manacapuru)) four years evaluation plant components (leaves, stems, primary branches secondary branches) five replications, which each unit composed progeny. PMI(s) present storage branches, but presented higher N than 215. leaves both independent age, values over 50% total content. Therefore, Cupuassu under showed satisfactory accumulations throughout study. It can be concluded that it is being viable options agroforestry systems.
